Cricket South Africa Reports $45.6 Million in Profit From 2023-24
CSA has turned around its financial situation in impressive fashion. After three years of financial losses totaling $30.14 million, CSA reported a profit of $45.6 million for the 2023-24 fiscal year.
CSA's success was due to several factors, including a majority stake in the
SA20 tournament,
a successful hosting of the Under-19 World Cup,
and increased ICC disbursements.
Cricket South Africa (CSA) is looking forward to another strong financial year in 2024-2025. A key factor will be the Indian team's scheduled four T20Is in November, with each match expected to generate upwards of $8.38 million. While CSA is gradually reducing its reliance on India, thanks to the SA20 league, all six SA20 franchises are affiliated with the Indian Premier League (IPL).
CSA's financial turnaround is mirrored by its on-field successes. The men's team reached the semi-finals of the 2023 ODI World Cup, and the women's team achieved historic victories against Australia in both ODI and T20I formats.
